Privacy policy
Draft for review. This text is a placeholder for the design mockup, has not been checked by a lawyer and is not in force.
What Nesnel collects, why, and the choices you have. In short: we read reviews to rank venues, not to profile people.
Who we are
Nesnel is operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], based in İzmir, Türkiye. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect
- Account data: your name, email address and a hash of your password.
- Venue data: business details, locations and a contact person when an owner claims a venue.
- Reviews you write on Nesnel, with their date and the venue they are about.
- Public reviews from other platforms, such as Google Maps, Yemeksepeti and Trendyol Yemek. Reviewer names are pseudonymised before analysis.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and the logs needed to keep the service secure.
How we use it
- To run your account and show you ranked, sourced answers.
- To calculate Nesnel Scores and venue analytics.
- To detect fake or coordinated reviews.
- To meet our legal obligations, including those under KVKK.
- With your consent, to measure how the site is used and improve it.
What we never do
- Sell individual data. Data products are anonymised, with minimum thresholds per cell.
- Expose reviewer identities in analytics. Staff mentions are visible only to the venue.
- Let payment change where a venue ranks.
Where data is stored
Data is hosted with cloud providers under contract. Venues can choose to keep their data in a Turkey-region cloud. Any transfer abroad follows Article 9 of KVKK.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted within [RETENTION PERIOD] of closing it, unless the law requires longer. Security logs are kept for [LOG RETENTION PERIOD].
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and object to how it is processed. Your rights under KVKK, and how to use them, are set out in the KVKK privacy notice.
